Mersive is a leading provider of wireless media streaming and collaboration solutions that enable multiple users to simultaneously share content from computers, tablets, and phones to any meeting room display – securely and with the greatest ease of use. Solstice vastly increases meeting productivity and collaboration by putting content sharing at the center of the meeting experience.

Mersive delivers innovative software-based products that leverage commodity hardware and existing enterprise network infrastructure. With over 4,000 corporate and higher education customers and 30 of the F100, Mersive is changing how industry leaders worldwide work and learn.  Mersive is the outgrowth of academic research conducted by Mersive CTO and Founder Christopher Jaynes, PhD with funding sources that include U.S. intelligence agencies and the national security community. Mersive is led by Rob Balgley, former CEO of Jabber, who joined Mersive in 2010. The company is based in Denver, Colorado.

Rob Balgley
CEO

Balgley joined Mersive as CEO in April 2010. He previously worked as CEO of several category-defining companies funded by some of the most successful venture capital firms in the world. Most recently, he was CEO of SkyeTek, the worldwide market share leader in embedded RFID readers and technology. Prior to that, Balgley was CEO of Jabber, the pioneer and leader in enterprise instant messaging, which was later acquired by Cisco Systems. Before Jabber, he was CEO of Mobile Logic, an early market leader of mobile data networking software. Earlier in his career, Balgley held executive positions in sales and marketing at GE, 3Com, Hughes Aircraft and Case Communications.

Christpher Jaynes

In 2006, Jaynes co-founded Mersive and now serves as the company’s Chief Technology Officer. He received his Bachelor of Science degree with honors from the School of Computer Science at the University of Utah, and went on to receive his doctoral degree at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst where he worked on camera calibration and aerial image interpretation technologies that were then used by the federal government. In 2000, he helped found the University of Kentucky Center for Visualization and Virtual Environments where he studied problems related to virtual reality and novel display systems. Prior to Mersive, the Metaverse Lab he founded conducted research related to video surveillance, human-computer interaction and display technologies. It was recognized as one of the leading laboratories for computer vision and interactive media.

Rick Enery

Rick Emery
VP Sales & Business Development

Emery has more than 20 years of leadership experience that includes senior sales and business development roles at several startups as well as large Fortune 500 companies. Prior to joining Mersive, he led the sales organizations of several collaboration software startups including Jabber, Inc., which was acquired by Cisco in 2008. Previously, Emery worked at MediaOne, first as a member of the market strategy and development group and then as a director in the new business development organization. Emery’s early career was spent on Wall Street at the Bank of New York and Robertson Stephens. Emery received his MBA from the JL Kellogg Graduate School of Management with a focus on marketing and finance. He received his undergraduate degree from Princeton University with a major in American History.

Rob Balgley

Scott Ruff
VP Engineering

Ruff has twenty years experience in software development and engineering leadership, with a focus on graphics, video, and multimedia applications. Previous employers include NVIDIA, Hewlett Packard, EDS, and a number of technology startups. Ruff has extensive experience building complex, cross platform, end user software products. Ruff received his BS in Computer Science from California State University Long Beach.

Rob Balgley

Devin Burns
VP Finance & Operations

Burns joined Mersive as the head of Finance and Operations in March of 2016. He previously worked for several outdoors industry companies in finance roles of progressive responsibility. These included Spyder Active Sports, American Recreation Products, United Sporting Companies, and Jarden’s Pure Fishing division. Prior to that he was a Supply Officer (Finance, Logistics & Operations) on board a submarine in the US Navy. Burns received his MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. He received his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University – Idaho with a major in Business Management.

Rob Balgley

Troy Suttle
Director of Marketing

Suttle joined Mersive in 2014 to help launch Solstice 2.0 in June of that year. Since that time, Suttle has provided marketing support for the growing software company, including milestones such as launch of the Solstice Pod, nine product awards won, and the release of over 15 major software updates. Before Mersive, Suttle led his own digital marketing and advertising agency where he helped small and medium businesses leverage digital strategies to meet growth goals. Suttle graduated from Yale University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture.
