Today Mersive announced it has received the 2014 SCN InfoComm Installation Product Award for the Most Innovative Collaboration Product (Software) award category. The award recognizes Mersive’s Solstice visual collaboration software as one of the most innovative commercial AV products in 2013.

“We were honored to receive the Most Innovative Collaboration Product, it truly demonstrates the impact Solstice, a pure software, wireless visual collaboration product, is having in the market,” said Rob Balgley, CEO of Mersive.

The 2014 SCN/InfoComm Installation Product Awards showcase the most innovative commercial AV products of 2013. This year’s winners were announced on June 17 during InfoComm 2014, the premier event for the audiovisual communications industry. Three finalists for each of the 14 categories in the 2014 SCN InfoComm Installation Product Awards were selected by SCN’s panel of AV integrators and consultants. This group also determined the Judges’ Choice award winner. SCN readers were then asked to vote on the finalists in each category. The winner was determined by the majority vote in each category. Mersive, along with WOW Vision Collab8 and Samsung MagicIWB 3.0 were all nominated as finalists for the category.

Solstice provides a robust collaboration solution that transforms displays into shared network devices that are part of the IT infrastructure. With Solstice, users can walk into a meeting room or classroom and connect their wireless devices – laptops, tablets, smartphones – share content and control the display, creating an instant collaboration session. The software supports an unlimited number of users simultaneously on a shared display, which can be a flat panel, projector or video wall. Solstice runs on an existing corporate network, includes a centralized IT dashboard, and can be integrated to work with existing in-room AV control panels via the Solstice Open Control Protocol.

Mersive released the next generation of its award-winning collaboration software, Solstice 2.0, at InfoComm 2014. The company will be showcasing the software at booth #N2537.
